  Dear collegues,

Winfried Winkelmann

Georg Gosheger
We have received more than 700 abstracts for presentation on the 14th International Symposium on Limb Salvage in Hamburg, Germany 2007. So we decided to perform sessions with oral, short communication and poster presentation in order to give many speakers the possibility to present their important work. The first day of the symposium (September 11th) will be a special residents-day with instructional courses on oncologic topics. We are very grateful for the support of international members of the society to accept our invitations and give lectures. The main program (September 12th ñ September 14th) will start in each oral session with overview presentations by famous members of the society. Each oral presentation will last 7 minutes followed by 3 minutes discussion. So we are sure that we will have a vivid discussion on all topics. The short communication will concentrate on 3 slides with the most important aspects of the work followed by 2 minutes discussion. The poster presentation is integrated with the industrial exhibition and located at the coffee-break and lunch area, thus guaranteeing that the poster presentations are visited frequently. The scientific committee will decide on different awards: Best presentation (5000 Euro), best short communication (3000 Euro) and best poster (2000 Euro). Last, but not least, there will be an enjoyable social program with a Get-Together- Party in the Radisson SAS-Hotel, a gala dinner in the harbour of Hamburg and a special closing-party on the well known Reeperbahn of Hamburg.
